15mm Dilemma: To Z.O.R.T., or not to Z.O.R.T....

Remember these 28mm Z.O.R.T. vehicles I worked on earlier this year? -

I kind of want to do something similar in 15mm, and I think I might have found some good candidates -

What do y'all think?

NOTE:
Zabadak makes a good point in the comments about it being hard to judge the scale of the armored vehicle, so here's a different photo of it, with a 15mm figure in the foreground -

Get Small

The Quick and the Zed is going to "get small", well TQATZ is getting smaller, from 28mm to 15mm. The   zeds arrived yesterday, along with some survivors -

3 Rebel Minis THW ATZ "box sets"

The Zeds

The Survivors

I got 3 All Things Zombie box sets, produced by Rebel Minis -

All together, over 150 figures! Getting terrain and vehicles has also become easier, and more affordable, in this scale. Matchbox cars make lots of vehicles that are perfect for zombie gaming and they're inexpensive in comparison to the vehicles I bought for 28mm (5-6 Matchbox cars to 1 of the 28mm cars).
While not 15mm, Hawk Wargames' Dropzone Commander Cityscape and Ruinscape terrain packs give you more than enough terrain pieces to fill up a 6x4 gaming table, and looks good using 15mm minis with it.

Several months ago I picked up a Ruinscape set, so I've got the terrain covered.

I've already started prepping the figures, so look forward to WIP posts soon.

Update December 2015

I've been busy with various hobby projects the last couple of months, mostly hard sci-fi related, so I haven't focused much on zombies. I haven't given up on zombies, I just got distracted by some sci-fi "oooh shineys!" that recently came out, mainly in 15mm. I know I said I wasn't gonna get back into 15mm sci-fi, but resistance is futile. I am also going to change over to 15mm for zombies, it's more economical and now there are enough mini producers making good zombies in 15mm. Plus, now I have some great terrain that works well for both sci-fi and zombies. It will probably be after the new year before I get back to zombie gaming, as I'm taking advantage of the current batch of Xmas sales, so that I can build up both the zombie and sci-fi lead piles. I will update again before the end of the year.
